Home repairing project
Habitat Korea seeks to offer adequate living space for our neighbours.Habitat seeks to improve the living conditions of
those in need of a decent home.
Degrading houses, chronically suffering from low-energy efficiency and unmet safety standard, tend to undermine the resident’s health and increase the cost of public safety. To rectify such issue, Habitat Korea moves beyond projects designed to better the living conditions of individual families to more fundamental and sustainable methods like training and supplying skilled construction engineers and large-scale home improvement programmes. Habitat Korea, to address housing issues and deliver universal housing welfare, has set three main goals.
-
01
Improving physical living condition through practical support
-
02
Improving living conditions and building community through shelters
-
03
Contributing to the effort in reducing carbon emission through more energy efficient approach
Home repairing
For one-parent families, multicultural families, children living with their grandparents, and elderlies living alone who live in poor housing without means to improve the living condition, Habitat Korea addresses housing issues. The better the living conditions are, the healthier, financially more sound and psychologically stronger the families would get.
Facility improvement
For the facilities designed to host those with special conditions must be properly equipped, reflecting the special need. However, these facilities tend not to be properly managed due to the lack of skilled staff. In addition, considering less than sufficient resources, finding solutions is next to impossible. In light of this, Habitat Korea seeks to protect the social functions of these facilities and bring about community.
