Habitat provides volunteers with opportunities to learn about the world, teach Korean culture, and revitalise the local communities, all while building homes for those in need of adequate housing through Habitat’s global volunteer programme, ‘Global village’.

Habitat Korea helps low-income families to be more self-reliant
through home building and repairing and recuperating social bond.

Clean water and Sanitation
Habitat Korea moves beyond housing to providing clean water and
sanitary facilities to prevent diseases and unnecessary death.
Installing toilet and clean water facility at each house reduces
the likelihood of contracting diseases, while sex education is
protecting women by providing right information about female sex.

Raising awareness and
capacity building
programmesHabitat Korea helps people understand the importance of
adequate living conditions and build/rebuild homes through
training and education. People living in a disaster-prone
area are given training to prepare themselves against disasters.
Vocational training is also given to facilitate smooth
transition into self-reliance.
